Updike Named Newcomer of the Week Again
Updike has won a weekly Conference award six times this season
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Freshman Rachel Updike has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week by the Conference office for the sixth time this season on Tuesday (Feb. 21). She is the only gymnast to earn Newcomer of the week six times in one season, and one of three gymnasts in the conference to earn a weekly award six times or more in one season. Updike joins former Mizzou Gymnast Sarah Shire for the second-most weekly awards in a year in conference history.

    

   

Missouri Faces Iowa State on Tuesday
Tigers Look for Second Conference Victory
       
Columbia, Mo.--  The Tigers will face The Iowa State Cyclones on Tuesday, Feb. 21 in Ames, Iowa. This is the second meeting for the two teams this season. The Tigers and the Cyclones will face off at 7 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum.

    

   

Rachel Updike Named Newcomer of the Week
Tigers claim first conference honor of the season
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Rachel Updike has received another honor this week after snagging three event titles at Sunday’s season opener against No. 24 Iowa State. The freshman has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week

Tigers open Conference Play at No. 1 Baylor
Mizzou looks to earn another win over a ranked opponent
  
Columbia, Mo.—The Tigers will open conference play on Wednesday (Jan. 4) against No. 1-ranked Baylor. The Tigers and the Lady Bears will go head-to-head at 7 p.m. in Waco, Texas. The game will be the Tigers’ first road game since Nov. 16 when Mizzou took on the St. Louis Billikens.

   

   

SEC Announces 2012 Football Conference Schedule
Tigers Will Host Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Vanderbilt at Faurot
       
Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri will begin athletic competition in the Southeastern Conference in 2012, and today the Mizzou Football program, fresh off its 41-24 win over North Carolina in the 2011 AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl, learned its schedule for the upcoming historic first year in its new conference home.

   

     

Missouri Tops UNC, 41-24, For Independence Bowl Victory
James Franklin ran for two touchdowns and threw for another, and Missouri easily beat North Carolina 41-24 in the Independence Bowl on Monday night.
       
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - James Franklin's hard running and timely passing led Missouri to an easy win in its final game as a member of the Big 12. It also gives the Tigers plenty of hope heading into their new home in the Southeastern Conference.

 

 

Tigers Overcome Memphis
Christine Flores earns 1,000th career point.
       
Columbia, Mo—The Missouri Women’s Basketball team topped Memphis, 58-48 in a heated contest on Thursday. Senior Christine Flores surpassed the 1,000 point mark, becoming the 30th Tiger to score over 1,000 career points.  The Tigers improved to 9-1 on the season with the victory, continuing their four game win streak, as Memphis is now 9-3.

Gold Squad Takes Intrasquad Title
Tigers Show off new skills at Black and Gold
       
Columbia, Mo—The 2012 Missouri Gymnastics team came out strong at the annual Black & Gold Intrasquad meet. The Gold team took the title, topping the Black 164.475-163.150. Mary Burke came out on top in the All-Around with a score of 39.300. Katelyn Trevino and Allie Heizelman also competed all-around, scoring 38.750 and 38.650, respectively.

   

Mizzou 24-10 Over Kansas
       
Mizzou scored 24 unanswered points after falling into a 10-0 hole, to pull away in the second half for a 24-10 win over rival Kansas, Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

Elmore and Eubank to Join Gymnastics in 2013 Class
       
Columbia, Mo. – The Missouri Gymnastics program proudly announces the addition of two stellar gymnasts for the upcoming 2013 season. Head Coach Rob Drass, with the help of recruiting coordinator John Figueroa, has signed Blair Elmore and Miranda Eubank to national letters of intent.

Sixteen Tigers Named to Academic Team
Missouri one of four teams with double-digit first team distinctions
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Big 12 Conference has named 134 student-athletes to the 2011 Academic All-Big 12 Football team, the league office announced on Thursday. Of those 134 student-athletes, 16 are members of the Missouri Football team. The Tigers were one of four teams with double-digit first team distinctions.

   

     

Josey Named Doak Walker Semifinalist
Sophomore Back One Of 10 Up For National Award
       
Dallas, Texas – University of Missouri sophomore tailback Henry Josey (Angleton, Texas) has been named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2011 Doak Walker Award, which is awarded annually by the PxCSMU Athletic Forum Board of Directors, and goes to the nation’s top running back.

  

   

Gymnastics Welcomes Kelsy Landreth
New Tiger to Join 2011-12 Team
       
Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri Gymnastics program and Head Coach Rob Drass are proud to announce the addition of Kelsy Landreth to the 2011-12 Mizzou Gymnastics team. Landreth will join the Tigers this season from Show-Me Gymnastics in Columbia, Mo. where she trained under Kathy Sanford.
