Mizzou Over Delaware State 79-0
       
Mizzou Football scored a school-record 79 points en route to a shutout of Delaware State on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 24). Sophomore QB Drew Lock (Blue Springs, Mo.) tied the school record with five passing touchdowns, all in the first half, becoming just the third Tiger to throw for five TD's in multiple games. Four went to junior wideout J'Mon Moore (Missouri City, Texas), who also tied the school record while going over the 100-yard mark for the third time in four games this season.

The Mizzou Women's Gymnastics program have added Becca Schugel, Shauna Miller, Kelli Martin, and Kennedi Harris to the team for the 2014-15 season, the coaching staff announced.

 

 

No. 9 Mizzou Outlasts No. 13 OSU 41-31 in Cotton Bowl
       
Missouri got the big plays it needed at the end of the Cotton Bowl to beat an old rival.

Henry Josey ran for 92 yards and three touchdowns, the last a 16-yarder with 3:08 left, and Shane Ray returned a fumbled 73 yards for a touchdown after that, and the No. 9 Tigers beat No. 13 Oklahoma State 41-31 to win the 78th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic

 

 

Tigers Reset School Points Record in 126-55 Win Over Bradley
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou Women's basketball team scored the most points in a game in school history as the Tigers (9-1) defeated Bradley, 126-55 at Mizzou Arena.

  

 

No. 3 Auburn Outlasts No. 5 Mizzou, 59-42
       
ATLANTA, Ga. – Henry Josey and Dorial Green-Beckham had standout performances offensively, but they were not enough as No. 3 Auburn outlasted No. 5 Missouri, 59-42, to win the SEC Championship inside the Georgia Dome.

   

   

No. 5 Mizzou Tigers vs. No. 3 Auburn Tigers

In just its second year in the Southeastern Conference, the No. 5 Missouri Tigers have reached the SEC Championship Game, and this Saturday, Head Coach Gary Pinkel and his crew will face the No. 3 Auburn Tigers for all of the marbles in Atlanta, Ga., at the Georgia Dome. COLUMBIA, Mo. – The score that sealed No. 5 Mizzou's Southeastern Conference Eastern Division crown fittingly came on the legs of junior TB Henry Josey (Angleton, Texas), who sprinted 57 yards to the end zone to put away No. 21 Texas A&M, 28-21, on Saturday night at Faurot Field.

   

Three-point Barrage Lifts Tigers Past Evansville, 78-34

Columbia, Mo.- Hot shooting from beyond the arc propelled the Missouri Women's basketball team to a 78-43 win over the Evansville Purple Aces on Thursday at Mizzou Arena. The victory is the Tigers third straight to start the season.

 

 

Women’s Golf Wins FIU Pat Bradley Invitational
       
Sarasota, Fla. – The Mizzou Women’s Golf team took first overall at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational in Sarasota, Fla. this afternoon (Oct. 22). The Tigers finished 9-over par after 54-holes to win the tournament by one stroke. Daytona State College came in second (+10) while FIU placed third overall with a score 12-over par.

 

   

Missouri Wins 19th Straight, Ties School Record
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The 25th-ranked Mizzou volleyball team matched history as it knocked off Austin Peay, 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-12), to move to 19-0 on the season, matching the program record for consecutive wins to open a season.

Gymnastics Draws Largest Ever Pink Out Crowd Against No. 1 Alabama
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Mizzou Gymnastics team opened the season on Friday against two-time defending National Champion Alabama in the Hearnes Center. The meet was the annual Pink Out meet, with proceeds from ticket sales going to benefit the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center.

   

   

Tigers Claim Mizzou Invite Title
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou women's swimming and diving team claimed the 2012 Mizzou Invite title to cap a memorable three-day meet on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. Missouri, which posted two NCAA `A' qualifying times on day three, concluded the three-day event with 1,000.5 points to defeat seven other teams.

  

  

Tigers Pull Away in Second Half for 67-51 Win
       
Columbia, Mo. – Newcomer Bri Kulas led the way for Mizzou (1-0) as they overcame a slow start to pull away from St. Louis in the second half, winning their season opener by a final score of 67-51.

 

 

Mizzou Crushes SE Louisiana in Season-Opener, 62-10
Marcus Murphy matched a 47-year-old school record with two scoring returns and totaled 180 yards on five punt returns.
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Marcus Murphy scored on punt returns of 72 and 70 yards and Zaviar Gooden and Michael Sam fueled a lightning-fast start with early defensive touchdowns in Missouri's 62-10 season-opening rout of Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday night.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Freshman Rachel Updike has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week by the Conference office for the sixth time this season on Tuesday (Feb. 21). She is the only gymnast to earn Newcomer of the week six times in one season, and one of three gymnasts in the conference to earn a weekly award six times or more in one season. Updike joins former Mizzou Gymnast Sarah Shire for the second-most weekly awards in a year in conference history.

Columbia, Mo.--  The Tigers will face The Iowa State Cyclones on Tuesday, Feb. 21 in Ames, Iowa. This is the second meeting for the two teams this season. The Tigers and the Cyclones will face off at 7 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum.

Missouri Tops UNC, 41-24, For Independence Bowl Victory
James Franklin ran for two touchdowns and threw for another, and Missouri easily beat North Carolina 41-24 in the Independence Bowl on Monday night.
       
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - James Franklin's hard running and timely passing led Missouri to an easy win in its final game as a member of the Big 12. It also gives the Tigers plenty of hope heading into their new home in the Southeastern Conference.

 

 

Tigers Overcome Memphis
Christine Flores earns 1,000th career point.
       
Columbia, Mo—The Missouri Women’s Basketball team topped Memphis, 58-48 in a heated contest on Thursday. Senior Christine Flores surpassed the 1,000 point mark, becoming the 30th Tiger to score over 1,000 career points.  The Tigers improved to 9-1 on the season with the victory, continuing their four game win streak, as Memphis is now 9-3.

Fast start propels the Tigers to an easy win over the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
       
Columbia, Mo. – The Missouri Tigers beat the North Dakota Fighting Sioux 69-52 on Saturday (Dec. 10) in Mizzou Arena. The Tigers started the game on a 21-0 run, an advantage that never dropped below 12 points.

   

  

Gold Squad Takes Intrasquad Title
Tigers Show off new skills at Black and Gold
       
Columbia, Mo—The 2012 Missouri Gymnastics team came out strong at the annual Black & Gold Intrasquad meet. The Gold team took the title, topping the Black 164.475-163.150. Mary Burke came out on top in the All-Around with a score of 39.300. Katelyn Trevino and Allie Heizelman also competed all-around, scoring 38.750 and 38.650, respectively.

Mizzou scored 24 unanswered points after falling into a 10-0 hole, to pull away in the second half for a 24-10 win over rival Kansas, Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

Sixteen Tigers Named to Academic Team
Missouri one of four teams with double-digit first team distinctions
       
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Big 12 Conference has named 134 student-athletes to the 2011 Academic All-Big 12 Football team, the league office announced on Thursday. Of those 134 student-athletes, 16 are members of the Missouri Football team. The Tigers were one of four teams with double-digit first team distinctions.

   

     

Josey Named Doak Walker Semifinalist
Sophomore Back One Of 10 Up For National Award
       
Dallas, Texas – University of Missouri sophomore tailback Henry Josey (Angleton, Texas) has been named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2011 Doak Walker Award, which is awarded annually by the PxCSMU Athletic Forum Board of Directors, and goes to the nation’s top running back.

Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri Gymnastics program and Head Coach Rob Drass are proud to announce the addition of Kelsy Landreth to the 2011-12 Mizzou Gymnastics team. Landreth will join the Tigers this season from Show-Me Gymnastics in Columbia, Mo. where she trained under Kathy Sanford.
