WALK-OFF HOMER GIVES AUBURN 6-5 VICTORY OVER THE GAMECOCKS
       
Conor Davis’ two-out three-run pinch-hit homer in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted 10th ranked Auburn to a 6-5 win over fourth ranked South Carolina in the rubber game of a three-game SEC baseball series at Plainsman Park. The Gamecocks are now 19-8 and 6-3 in the SEC with Auburn 23-7 and 7-2 in league play.

   

 

NO. 3 AUBURN TOPS ALABAMA IN HUNT SEAT EXHIBITION
       
The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team kicked off the 2017 portion of the season with a 9-3 exhibition victory over Alabama. The Tigers and the Crimson Tide squared off in Tuscaloosa for the Hunt Seat-only competition.

“The team rode extremely well today,” head coach Greg Williams said. “They all adjusted like they needed to with Coach Jessica Braswell. Alabama did a tremendous job not only in riding, but also in putting on a quality competition. Their gameday performance is already running like a well-seasoned NCAA program.”

 

 

TIGERS BATTLE TOUGH IN DEFEAT TO USC

In a tightly-contested match at the Auburn Soccer Complex on Sunday night, No. 21 Auburn fell 2-0 to USC. The Tigers (3-3-0) mounted a bevy of attacks that led to 13 shots, including eight on target.

After going toe-to-toe with Missouri through 110 minutes of play, Auburn tied Missouri, 1-1, for its third-straight point in Southeastern Conference play.

AUBURN, Ala. – The second-ranked Auburn equestrian team got a big boost from the reining squad, sweeping the five wins in its 15-5 victory over UT Martin, Saturday morning at the Auburn Horse Center. Western rider Griffin Knight won two Most Outstanding Player honors in her first competition riding double events. Auburn improves to 2-0 on the season.

Playing a Wildcat role during a 12-10 loss Saturday night to LSU — the same job starting quarterback Kiehl Frazier had last season — Wallace ran for 15 yards on three carries.

STARKVILLE, MISS. — A bright spot in Auburn’s 28-10 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon at Davis Wade Stadium was several key special teams plays by the Tigers.

Onterio McCalebb returned the opening kickoff of the second half 100 yards for a touchdown and gave Auburn a 10-7 lead.

When Auburn quarterback Kiehl Frazier watched film of his first start after the 26-19 loss to Clemson, he said it was easy to summarize the game.

Tigers get first look inside new indoor practice facility

   

AUBURN - The 19th-ranked Auburn football team went through its third practice and first day in shoulder pads, shorts and helmets Friday afternoon on the practice fields behind the Athletics Complex.
 
After holding split practices the first two days, the Tigers practiced as one unit for the first time this week. Auburn worked in position groups and on special teams before coming together at the end for offense versus defense drills. The final 30 minutes of practice was spent in the new indoor practice facility.

And when they play Oregon in Monday’s BCS title game, wide receiver Trovon Reed, the top-ranked player in Louisiana last year, will be standing on their sideline, having redshirted this season because of injury.
