streak with what had previously delivered a seven-game win streak –
stingy, disciplined defense, aggressive offense and gutty plays when
they counted most. Senior La’Keisha Sutton finished with 20 points,
including a career-high four 3-pointers, and five of the team’s nine
points in overtime.

Ky. – Behind a season-high team score on floor exercise, where two
Wildcats set or tied their career-high marks, the University of
Kentucky gymnastics team showed improvement from its first Southeastern
Conference meet of the year to its second meet of the year in a
196.275-194.075 loss to No. 8 Florida at Memorial Coliseum on Friday
night.
A
staunch defensive effort, combined with a record-setting night from
kicker Jeremy Shelley, propelled the University of Alabama football
team to its 14th national championship with a 21-0 victory over LSU.

MVP Onterio McCalebb rushed for a season-high 109 yards and had 180
all-purpose yards, Emory Blake caught six passes for a career-high
tying 108 yards and Barrett Trotter came off the bench to throw for 175
yards and one touchdown to lead Auburn to a 43-24 victory over Virginia

Belgium) defeated Duke’s Ester Goldfeld and captured the 10th annual
Freeman Memorial Championships consolation singles title on Sunday
afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus.
There's
a saying that defense wins championships. For Georgia, linebacker
Jarvis Jones and his defensive teammates proved that point, as the
Bulldogs held off a tough Kentucky team 19-10 in Athens on Saturday.
With the win, Georgia clinches the SEC Eastern Division title.

Cincinnati player to return a kickoff for a TD in the program's 13 bowl
appearances.
