UF’s Lauren Embree Talked About Returning to Campus for First Time Since Team Won NCAA Title
GAINESVILLE,
Fla. -- University of Florida junior Lauren Embree (Marco Island,
Fla.) met with the media Monday morning as part of the Gators'
All-Sports Media Day.
Embree and her teammates were
back on campus together for the first time since capturing the 2011
NCAA Team Championship in a 4-3 thriller against Stanford on the
Cardinal home courts.
Embree rallied from a 4-0 deficit in
the third set and provided the clinching singles win that helped
Florida win the fifth national title in program history.
The Gators will be honored during the first quarter of the September 17 home football game against Tennessee.
