Florida Wins Men’s NCAA Indoor Championship
NAMPA, Idaho – The No. 1
University of Florida men’s track and field team captured its third
consecutive NCAA Indoor Championship on Saturday evening at Jacksons
Indoor Track to become just the third different program in NCAA history
to win three men’s indoor national crowns in a row. The Gators join
Arkansas and UTEP as the only programs to accomplish that feat.
Florida
scored 52 total team points to win the NCAA men’s indoor championship
as one of three Southeastern Conference teams to finish among the
nation’s top-five on the men’s side. Arkansas placed second with 47
total team points, while LSU was fifth with 27 total team points.
On
the women’s side, the SEC placed two teams among the nation’s top-five
as LSU was third with 27 total team points and Arkansas tied for fifth
with 24 total team points. Oregon won its third consecutive women’s
NCAA Indoor Championship with 49 total team points. Florida was
ninth on the women’s side with 22 total team points.
For the SEC, it is the 17th NCAA Men’s Indoor Championship in its history.

(Arkansas), men’s pole vault, Omar Craddock (Florida), men’s triple
jump; Arkansas, men’s 4x400m, Kimberlyn Duncan (LSU), women’s 200m, LSU
(women’s 4x400m) and Tina Sutej (Arkansas), women’s pole vault.
