GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The

Chloe's
a "Mann"ster: Senior middle blocker Chloe Mann is hitting .477 for her
career and is the Florida career record holder in the category. The
reigning SEC Player of the Year is the NCAA active leader in hitting
percentage and sits just above the NCAA record holder in career hitting
percentage, Penn State's Arielle Wilson (.468). Mann needs 197 more
attempts to be eligible for the NCAA record (approx. 16 attacks/reg.
season match).
Not On Our Watch: Florida has forced 14 of its 18
opponents to operate at under .200 hitting efficiency, including three
offensive outputs at .000 and below. The Gators held the Wildcats to
.188 on Friday and the Bulldogs to just .032 on Sunday, including -.103
in the second set.
NCAA Numbers: Senior Chloe Mann is second in
the NCAA in hitting percentage (.540), while the Gators are also second
in the nation with a .351 offensive clip. Senior setter Taylor Brauneis
is 11th in assists (11.86/set) and freshman right-side hitter Alex
Holston broke into the top 20 with a .454 hitting percentage for 19th.
Almost
Perfect: Senior Chloe Mann recorded her first attacking error in 23
days, dating back to the Marquette match on Sept. 20. Mann had made 113
consecutive attacks including 15 in today's match before making an
error. During that time, the middle blocker was hitting a .618
offensive clip.
Mary's Minute: "What we're evolving into is a
team that's hard to guard. Choose your poison; because of our ability
to get kills out of different positions, we're less one-dimensional.
Offensively, we got really good play out of everybody but the tone of
the match was set by Holly Pole's dig in the first set. Georgia took a
very good rip and Holly stepped in there and not only made a dig, but a
quality dig, and we went from defense to offense. From that, the energy
just kept going and we really made some nice defensive plays."
