The
Texas A&M football team landed a consensus top five signing
class by inking 22 standouts to National Letters of Intent on Wedneday.
Coming on the heels of a third straight bowl win, the Aggies’ 2014
signing class was rated No. 4 by ESPN.com, No. 5 by Scout.com and
247Sports.com and No. 6 by Rivals.com, as of mid-afternoon on Wednesday.
Seven of the signees enrolled at Texas A&M in January and will
go through spring drills with the Aggies: QB Kyle Allen, OL Jermaine
Eluemunor, OL Avery Gennesy, OL JJ Gustafson, DT Zaycoven Henderson, WR
Speedy Noil and WR Josh Reynolds.
Among the 22 signees were 10 players that were ranked among the ESPN
300 and 16 were ranked four- or five-star recruits by ESPN. Rivals
rated 13 of A&M’s signees as four- or five-star recruits. In
Scout’s rankings, the Aggies inked five top 100 players and 16 four- or
five-star recruits. In the 247Sport’s evaluation, the Aggies signed 14
four- or five-star recruits, including three of the top 10 players in
the nation: Allen, Noil and DE Myles Garrett.
